Finally a beautiful day spent at the beach and at the pool enjoying the beautiful weather.   

So many mushrooms

With all the rain, we have seen many different kinds of mushrooms. It's been very interesting to see them all growing. 

True Blue

It was very foggy when we got up this morning.  The positive thing was that we could see the moon through the fog.  A sign that it was going to be a nice day.  Our drive to True Blue was uneventful and we were there bright and early.  The driving range wasn't open but we were advised to take advantage of the putting green as we might experience a slight delay due to the fog.  We tee'd off about 5 minutes past our booked time with another 2 gentlemen.  We didn't last long with them as they were in a rush and asked if we minded if they drove on ahead (we were the first group off).  Ralph and I had no problem with this as we enjoy playing on our own.  The course was "very" challenging with waste bunkers all up and down both sides.  It didn't help that it was cart path only.  Driving in the bunkers made it challenging to find your ball at times, but we still enjoyed the game.  At the 10th hole, the round really slowed down.  On one hole we waited almost 40 minutes to play it.  This in itself can create challenges with your game, but we chose to enjoy the sunny weather and take our time.

Yesterday they had another 3.5 inches of rain.  The highway was flooded over as we drove to Caledonia.  Hmmm I wonder what the course will be like was going through our minds.  At the pro-shop they advised us that the 16th hole was going to be challenging as half of it was under water.  Place you shots wisely was the advice that they gave us.  We were paired up with another 2 some.  Scott senior and Scott junior (Father and Son from Kentucky).  Although it was challenging and very wet, we had a lot of fun.  This is such a pretty course.

His putter was "HOT"!!! There was no way the girls and I could keep up with him.  Ralph got two holes in "1" - much to our chagrin!!  We had fun together playing the mini putt.  The girls loved it. It was a fun evening all together.

Afternoon at the beach

After golf, Ralph and I walked along the beach with the girls.  We were hunting for shells.  We found lots of cocina shells and a few cats paws but that was all. The girls were quite intrigued with the cocina and how they dug themselves back into the sand. It was cute watching them.  They also had lots of fun chasing the seagulls.

Unfortunately it started to rain again (a downpour actually) which forced us to come back to our condo. 

Litchfield - the challenge was keeping your feet dry

Yesterday it rained most of the morning, afternoon and evening.  As a result the courses were "very" wet.  Litchfield received 3.5 inches of rain.  The challenge was not being able to get a roll out of the ball. The 2nd challenge was keeping yourself clean and dry.  It wasn't my best game, but the conditions were not optimal.  We golfed with gentlemen from Pennsylvania - Dave & Vince.  It was a fun game however very slow (5 hours).   Again we were required to play cart path only. 

Dinner at Gulfstream Cafe

Feeling a little housebound, it was nice to get out and go for dinner.  We went to Murrel's inlet and enjoyed a meal at Gulfstream Cafe.  Ralph and I have been here a couple of times before and their food always really good.
