Arizona - Here we come!

After spending a night in Buffalo, we got up bright and early to catch our flight to Arizona.  The alarm was set for 4:00 a.m. and we were at the airport by 5:00.  Our flight left around 6:45 this morning and took us to Chicago where we waited for about an hour before catching our final flight for Phoenix.  We arrived at around 10:00 a.m.  We collected our baggage and went directly to the condo to unpack and get our bearings.

This afternoon we did our grocery shopping and then drove to the hockey arena in  Glendale to buy tickets to see the Leafs play against the Coyotes on Tuesday. We thought it might be nice to see the game.

We finished the day by having dinner at Grayhawk golf resort.  We ate at Phil Mickelson's restaurant (Phil's grill).  It was so nice to eat out on the patio and enjoy the beautiful weather.  The temperature got as high as 93F today.  It was really hot.

Can you believe it?? I got carded at Total Wines (lol).

Do you still have tickets to the Leaf game?

We're sitting here....

Cheers - enjoying a nice cocktail before dinner.

Gray Hawk golf course.  It's really pretty here.

6:15 p.m. and it's already dark.  It's a good thing that they don't following the time change.

Enjoying the fire pit.

We're off

We are finally on the road and heading to Buffalo.  Teresa and I both worked into the early morning hours to make sure we could leave by noon.  We are packed to the roof of the truck and we have the carrier fully loaded.  It's going to be a great vacation with the weather foeecast in the mid 70's to high 80's.  It will be a nice break from all the
rain we have been having.

Another lovely day at NOTL

We woke up this morning and the sun was shining. It was going to be a beautiful day.  Ralph and I decided to do some exploring.  First we drove around the countryside and took a few pictures of the grapes that are almost ready to be picked.  We had a heavy frost this morning so I think it won't be long before they start bringing in the harvest.

We saw a field full of peppers as well that we thought was interesting
.

We decided it would be nice to go for a hike along the Bruce Trail again, this time in Lincoln county. The trail took us to a small waterfall called Louth Falls.  Unfortunately the falls weren't that impressive as they tend to dry up during the summer months.  They are suppose to be quite spectacular during the spring so we'll have to go back again next year to see them.

It was a nice way to spend our weekend.  Happy Thanksgiving!

A weekend at NOTL

The morning dawned with a chill in the air and fog hovering over the valleys.  We were heading out to Niagara on the Lake for a weekend away.  We dressed warm as it was only 4 degree's.  We arrived at the golf course around 7:30 a.m.   We are golfing a course called Battle Field.  This is one of the "18's" at the course called Legends.  There wasn't many people here so we had an opportunity to tee off early. We finished our round in 3.5 hours.  It was a really nice course. The greens were lightening fast.  Ralph and I both enjoyed ourselves.

In the afternoon, we went for a walk along the Bruce Trail.  It was really nice and we enjoyed taking some pictures by a small waterfall.   We are having a great time.
