Woodington Lake Golf
It was a beautiful morning. The eight of us, Teresa and Lawrence, John and Grace and Dave and Wilma arrived at 7:00 for a fun round of Golf at Woodington Lake. Six of us had coupons for a free round which we had earned while playing ealier this year. We thought it was time to use the coupons or we might not find the opportunity. The sun was shining and it wasn't too warm yet. We really enjoyed our day all together. We finished around 12:30 and then enjoyed recapping our game all together while sitting on the patio. In the evening we were invited to Dave and Wilma's for a bbq/pot luck. It was very relaxing although we were chased inside because of rain. It didn't last too long and we were able to sit out again after dinner.
A visit from Laura, Jay and the girls
It wasn't a long visit. They arrived in the evening and they were off early the next morning. Jay was scheduled to ride up in Barrie in a mountain bike relay. Laura was driving him there. Jays team of three came in 3rd place (congratulations Jay). Laura did some shopping and then came back here with the girls. They enjoyed some time in the hot tub and then left at around 4:30. They will be back this coming Friday where we will enjoy 5 uninterrupted days of fun with the girls!! I can't wait.

Ladies League
We'll we're about halfway through our season! What fun we have had. I really enjoy it when all the girls get together. We don't get 18 holes in but we still have a great time all together! I look forward to our next game.

Golfing with Chuck and Claudia
It's Saturday and we're planning to play golf with Chuck and Claudia. What a great day it turned out to be. The weather was fantastic, although a little warm and we finished off the day with a nice BBQ cooked in Chucks new kitchen out by the pool. We enjoyed a lovely steak with salad and "good company". Jocelyn and a friend were with us as well. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Granite Ridge
We woke up to a sunny morning... it's going to be a nice day we say as we enjoy a nice cup of tea on the back porch. I wonder if my knee will be able to handle walking 18 holes. Ralph thinks it should be ok - the course isnn't to hilly so we don't need to worry. We've got our hat, suntan lotion and lots of water. Better to be prepared. We arrive at the course by 9:30.. Jim is already there and looking forward to a game with his siblings. Yo and Henry arrive next with Lawrence, Teresa and Homer is close pursuit!
We split the teams up - Ralph will golf with the girls and the guys will go first. We all play a good round. Ralph shoots in the mid 80's, Teresa hits 100 (her all time best), I shoot a 96 and Yolande is in the low hundreds. We all are proud of our accomplishments.
I discover I have a rash on the back of my leg, on my thighs and my ankle... I wonder where that came from? I don't have a burn on my skin, but the rash is pretty red. It's possible that it's sun poisoning. I'll have to keep an eye on that!
We all head over to Homer and Linda's house where everyone else is waiting. We have a nice relaxing late afternoon and early evening together! Thanks for your hospitallity Homer and Linda - it's always fun to spend a day at your place.

When are they coming?
Oakley just loves to watch for someone! This weekend it was Laura and Jay, Hailey and Jordan. He'll keep running to the window looking for them to come. All you have to say is "whose coming" and he'll keep watching. It's really cute.
A day in the Niagara on the Lake area
Another beautiful day! We strolled around the Niagara on the Lake area. Walked by the Brock Monument which was quite interesting. Teresa and Lawrence walked up to the top - 235 steps worth. We visited the Art in the park and slowly made our way home. We stopped for a picnic along the way. It was a nice relaxing day. Thank you Teresa and Lawrence for an enjoyable weekend.

Dinner at Hillebrand
Tonight we met with Chuck and Claudia at Hillebrand. We had a lovely dinner all together. Chuck made the reservations as they are more familiar with the area than we did. Chuck ordered some very nice wine which we all enjoyed. The evening was really nice and we enjoyed each others company. It was a wonderful way to end the day.
27 Holes
We woke up to overcast weather, but the temperature was nice and warm. Perfect for around of golf. We all enjoyed ourselves and relaxed with a glass of wine, beer and lunch on the patio. Teresa suggested that we play another 9 holes as we had already seen Niagara. So, off we went and played the orchard course. Another good round... It was fun.

Niagara on the Lake
We drove to Niagara on the Lake and walked through the town. It was so busy with tourists. It was interesting to see that not many people were carrying parcels. Lot's off people looking but not much shopping taking place. It was nice to walk through the town. We went for dinner at Johnny Rocco's which was an italian restaurant. The food was really good, but the portions were huge. We have enough for a snack later this weekend.
