Woodington Lakes Golf

It was another beautiful day and we took full advantage of it.  We golfed at Woodington Lakes today and enjoyed a fun round all together.  Not sure that our scores were the greatest and I'm sure we could have done much better but we were facing the challenge of "cart path only".  Being an unfamiliar course for all of us, we found this to be quite challenging.  We enjoyed a nice dinner all together at Taste of Freedom in Tottenham. It was a fun day.

Niagara on the Lake

This weekend we enjoyed our annual trip to Niagara on the Lake.  The weather was beautiful and the course was in pristine shape!  We golfed at Peninsula Lakes which is the sister course to Copper Creek.   It's a series of 3 "9" hole courses - Hillside, Quarry and Orchard.  On Friday we played all three courses and finished 27 holes.  It was so much fun.  We enjoyed a nice dinner together at the Keg.

On Saturday we had a later tee time in the day so we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast before heading towards the course.  We golfed 18 holes in the afternoon.  The pace of play was slower but we still enjoyed ourselves.

In the evening we enjoyed dinner at the Clubhouse which was located at the Niagara on the Lake Golf course.  This is the oldest course in North America.  Dinner was awesome.

On Sunday we went to church in Welland - where David and Jackie attend.  We had coffee after church with David and then slowly headed for home.  We stopped for a picnic along the way and then stopped in Burlington and enjoyed a stroll along the lake.  It was a beautiful day.

On Saturday we went golfing at Osprey and enjoyed a challenging round on the "Hoot".  It was fun spending time all together!!

Shower at church

We had a shower at the church on Friday evening.  We have four brides that we were honoring and 2 new babies.  It was a well attended evening and we had fun all together.

Flight winner

I'm excited for Ralph.  Today at the men's tournament he came in first in his flight shooting a 42.  It sounds like he had an awesome round! Way to go...

John and Andrea's wedding event

On Saturday evening Ralph and I were invited to a wedding reception for a co-worker of mine - Andrea Garson.  She married her boyfriend who currently lives in Chicago.  The wedding took place in Chicago but they held a reception here in Burlington. It was at a restaurant called - Emma's Back Porch.  It was a really interesting place and Ralph and I would like to go back there one nice summer evening for dinner as you can sit outside and gaze at the lake.  It was a nice evening.

Family Golf

The morning started out dark and gloomy.  It wasn't looking like the perfect day for a family outing and as we drove west towards Guelph the skies opened up and it poured rain.  We were prepared with rain gear but really didn't want to use it.

When we got to the course - Ed was already there as were Jim and Deb.  A decision was made to take carts rather than walk - in case the rain came again (it had stopped by then but the skies were still pretty grey). 

It turned out to be a beautiful day.  Guelph Lakes is a fun and challenging course.  There are lots of hills and I'm glad we had the carts.  We missed Teresa and Lawrence, Mom and Dad and Marian and Harry as they all had other plans this year.  Thanks Lind and Homer for organizing the day.

It was a fun day all together.
