We were up early this morning and left for downtown to get a headstart on our shopping at the St. Lawrence Market. We went with Ron and Anne and browsed both buildings. It was really nice and brought back many memories for us. We used to go quite a lot when we were younger, often going at the end of the day and buying up whole tray loads of meat for our freezer. We didn't do that today, but still enjoyed the shopping. It wasn't that busy today, we suspect mostly because it was snowing and the roads were quite slippery.
It snowed most of the morning, but it wasn't cold. It was a beautiful day and I found it very relaxing.
Ralph and Grace have been happily married for 45 years and currently reside in Dutton, Ontario. We have a beautiful daughter Laura who is married to Jason Van Meppelenscheppink. Jason and Laura have three beautiful children (Jordan, Hailey and Brody) and they currently live in St. Thomas. This blog is about our lives and how richly we have been blessed.

The snow came...
We had a light teasing of snow for Christmas, but last night it finally came full force. How pretty is looks sitting in my chair while I work. Everything is white and pure looking. I love the snow, but I'm happy when it's gone as well.

Happy birthday Papa
Nothing is more special than spending time with your grandchildren. The girls loved giving Ralph his birthday present.

Family Christmas
We spent such a lovely day all together. The girls were so excited to see presents under the tree. Hailey wasn't feeling well and actually fell asleep right after we opened the girls. I think it was mostly because she was tired from the busy weekend. The girls had lots of fun opening their presents. We were all so spoiled.
Pretty blue dresses
She couldn't resist. Mom saw these dresses and just had to have them for the girls. Both were a beautiful blue velvet. Hailey's had sparkly reinstones and Jordan's had a matching purse. The girls couldn't wait to try them on.

Last day - TPC Scottsdale
Well today is our last day. I was awake bright and early and went for a walk to explore the grounds. It's quite nice here. We enjoyed a nice breakfast at Rico's and then left for our golf at TPC Scottsdale. We were there quite early so we were able to warm up at the driving range before heading out.
The round was fun, maybe a little slower than we would like to play, but still we enjoyed ourselves.
The course was very scenic. We all played quite well. It got progressively colder as the day wore on. By the end of the round we were all feeling the cold. The weather man had forecasted unseasonably colder weather and we certainly felt it today.
We enjoyed a nice dinner at Maggianio's. The wait was long, but worth it.
What a wonderful way to end our vacation.

Grey Hawk
Well today is the day that we leave our timeshare. We packed up last night and were up at 5:30 this morning. Packing went well. We left around 6:30 and enjoyed a nice breakfast at the golf course.
Grey Hawk is a beautiful course. The scenery is breath taking. All 5 courses we played this week were amazing. We would play them all again in a heartbeat. This course had the mountains set in the background. It was fun taking pictures.
After golf we made our way to our new hotel - Pointe Hilton at Squaw Peak. We made a side trip along the way to see how the sand sculpture that we had seen earlier this week was progressing. It was finished this morning and Santa Claus is already sitting in his chair. (they didn't want us to photo him though).
From there, we arrivede at our hotel. It's a nicely laid out complex. We're near the pool and they have a nice patio that you can sit at and enjoy an afternoon cocktail. We had a relaxing couple of hours here before going out for dinner. We enjoyed a nice meal at Thirteenorth. We will most likely be up early again tomorrow although our round of golf isn't till noon. Tomorrow we're playing at TPC Scottsdale. It looks amazing.
