Weight loss journey
For those of you watching my weight loss journey, I'm happy to report that things have been steadily decreasing.... Yesterday I bought a new pair of pants and I'm soooo happy that I was able to go down 2 sizes. I'm not convinced that this would be for every label, but it sure makes you feel good. I've lost 14 lbs. I went for a few weeks where I held steady at 12 lbs, but I perservered. I knew that the inches were continueing to come off. I'm now at 1/3 of my goal. I'll try to go the gym today and tomorrow and Teresa and I hope to get in a few workouts while we're gone... I'm sure with the golf and all the walking that we'll be doing, that we should be ok as long as we don't over indulge at the restaurants. That will be the challenge!!
Only 1 more sleep
Can you believe it! The time is almost here. I have packed and repacked at least 2 times and I think I'll do it again today. I don't want to bring to much, yet with the weather being so different at each of the cities we are going to, I just don't know exactly what will work. I wish I could look at it as easily as Ralph. He just shrugs his shoulders and says "oh well", if we don't have the right clothes, we'll just buy what we need... No big deal. I just don't want to freeze at the Grand Canyon....oh well...
Today I will spend the time doing my housework and making sure that everything is in order. The fridge is clean, the floors are vacummed already, but I think they'll need one more go over. Oakley is really shedding right now. I'll clean the bathrooms and air out the bedrooms and then I'm done.
Tonight Teresa and Lawrence will come by with their suitcases. We'll pack the car tomorrow and be ready to leave once everyone finishes work. It sure is going to be alot of fun... I can't wait!!

A day out with my sisters!
It was really nice to have Sandra with us as well. She got the full treatment. While her feet were being done, they gave her a manicure as well. Will I do it again?? I think so! It was fun. Wouldn't it be great to have Laura, Karen, Liz and Kristen along as well. Now that would be a real girls day out!!

The countdown is on!!
Well we're down to the wire now... 7 days left before we leave on our long planned vacation. I have two more days of work left and then I can spend a few extra days destressing and relaxing before our adventure begins.
I've been watching the weather forecast daily.... It sure does change day by day. I'm praying that we don't get snow on our drive down to Buffalo. Right now the forecast is set for a clear day BUT they are calling for snow on the following day. Sure enough, that's when our plane is scheduled to leave. Ah well, time will tell. We have a 2.5 hour lay over in Atlanta so if our plane is delayed because of weather, we still might make our connection. That is one of the joys of travelling in the winter.
I've got clothes in my suitcase already. While I'm not yet totally settled on what I want to bring, I wanted to make sure that I have room. We're dressing for all sorts of weather, hot, cool, cold and warm depending on where we are. What to bring? That is the question!! I don't want to bring too much because we usually end up buying something and then there's not enough room in the suitcase!
My coupon book arrived today! I ordered this on line. It is full of coupons which will give you savings from various restaurants and stores and of particular interest the ferry that we need to take to Catalina Island. They have a $9.50 off coupon valid for up to 4 adults on the ferry which is pretty good as it gives you 25% off the ferry price. I was a little surprised at how expensive it was to get there, but I guess with the price of gas etc we need to expect that. It's a 22 mile boat drive. I'm really looking forward to the trip and seeing this Island... It's more curiousity than anything else, but it seems so remote and yet so appealing. I hope we aren't dissapointed.

We're making progress
Well by now I guess many of you are wondering how we are doing with the weight loss. I'm having difficulty updating my weight loss tracker, but I'm up to 12 lbs off. I know that doesn't seem like much, but I'm happy. I'm gaining muscle mass which weighs more than fat so it will take time for things to balance out.
Guess what!! I have lost 14 inches of body fat since we started with our trainer. Thats right!! 14 inches in 6 weeks. Am I excited.. You better believe it...
Teresa too is doing extremely well. I am so proud of her..
We only have one more session with our trainer and then we're finished. Teresa and I have a good sense of what we need to keep doing. Amy has certainly motivated us so I feel confident that we'll keep up with the hard work that we've been doing. We've got an objective that we're working towards and a wedding that we want to look great at, so I'm confident that we'll achieve the results.. We still have 6 months to go...
What a great week this is turning out to be...
