Happy Birthday Hailey
Our little TinkerBell turned 3 today!! Happy Birthday to Hailey. We love you very much.
On our way
We got up early this morning and enjoyed a leisurely breakfast. We then headed to Sharon to visit North America's largest shoe store. It was a bit of a disappointment. I was expecting a much larger variety. Oh well, we've been there, seen that and we moved on. We're currently in Little Rock South Carolina. We're about a 3 hour drive to Charleston. We plan to spend the day there tomorrow. The drive was quite nice. The tree's are all bursting into bloom. They were quite beautiful to see. We had a really nice dinner at Harry & Jean's at the recommendation of the hotel concierge. It was a really good choice.

Hmmmm, I'll make that mistake again
It's Thursday night around 10:00 p.m. We arrive at the Hampton and request our "pre-registered" room. I'm told that there isn't a reservation for us? That's funny, I made the reservations well in advance so off Ralph went to the car to pull out the papers. Can you believe it, I booked us for yesterday :-(. Boy did I feel silly. Not to worry though, the front desk was very accomodating and gave us a suite instead of a regular room all for my original booking price. Wasn't that nice! A great way to start our vacation.
We had fun shopping at Grove City Outlet Mall. It's huge!! There are so many stores and everything except bathing suits are tax free. I wish we had more time to shop, but it's nice to know that it's only a 5 hour drive from Toronto, so we can always comes back and spend a weekend. Ralph found a new pair of glasses at the Oakley store and I was able to get two nice summer tank tops as well. It was fun and relaxing walking through the big shopping center.
Tomorrow morning we're going to go to Reyer's - North America's largest shoe store. I read that they also have Brighton Jewellery so it's sure to be a fun morning. Then we'll point the truck south and continue on to Myrtle Beach.
Our drive down to Grove City was not bad, but we had rain all the way. The temperature fluctuated from 41 to 51F. Hopefully it will warm up soon. We still have about 12 hours of driving to go.
It sure is nice to be on vacation.

Clean, clean, clean
Ralph's brother Ron and his wife are visiting... They are staying with us at our house....We're so excited to have them here, but I've been so remiss in housecleaning since Ralph's Mom got sick. So all I've been doing for the last couple of days is clean, clean, clean. I guess we should get visitors more often :-). So when Ron and Deirdre arrive on Monday, I hope that they find our house "spic and span"....

I really have been bad with my updates
So how are you all doing? Ralph and I are doing well. Sorry I've been remiss in updating the blog. We've been so busy with Ralph's Mom being sick that I haven't really taken any pictures since our last vacation. For those of you who know me well, this is very unusual. I hope to get back on track and get my camera going again.
So what's new with us!! We're planning a vacation soon and we're looking forward to that. We're off to Myrtle Beach again, staying at the Carribean resort on the beach. We've got 5 days of golf planned, all at courses we haven't played before. We thought it might be nice to try something new. One course, we won free passes to, so that saves us a bit of money. Also while we're there, we plan to have our pictures taken at the beach. I'm looking forward to that. Stay tuned and watch my blog for updates on our vacation.
We went to the driving range this morning to get rid of the cobweb's. I had to say, my golf lessons certainly have been worth it and I was hitting the ball pretty good. I think too, that injuring my ankle at Christmas has helped as well as I'm able to get more distance and have a pretty straight shot. I'm looking forward to breaking 100 :-)
Ralph's brother Ron and his wife Deirdre are coming from Vancouver with their two girls. They will be staying at our house while we're away but will still be here when we get home so we're looking forward to a nice visit with them as well.
We enjoyed our visit with Laura and Jay yesterday. We haven't seen them that much in the past couple of months and we've really missed them. I'm so glad that we were able to visit even though we shortened it up because Jay was suffering from the flu.
The painting at our house is finished and overall we are happy with the results. It feels good to have things finally come together. We're looking forward to hanging up some curtains and finishing the stairs next.
I hope you are all doing well and enjoying this beautiful spring that we are experiencing.

Do Fairies Fly??
What a beautiful day we had today with Jay, Laura, Jordan and Hailey. We celebrated Easter and Hailey's birthday today. We were certainly blessed with beautiful weather.
We bought Hailey a Tinker Bell outfit for her birthday. She was THRILLED with it. All her clothes had to come off right away and the new outfit went on.
After getting it on, and walking around a bit, Hailey came back into the room and promptly announced that she wasn't able to fly with her outfit on. It was so funny! We had her looking for Pixie dust to see if we could get her to fly. She was so happy running around with her new outfit. Jordan too, got to play with it while Hailey was sleeping.
Poor Jay, he was sick with the flu today, so we missed out on a lot of the fun that we had. We hope he feels better soon..
