It's been raining for the last couple of days. Not just a little but enough to cause flooding along the riversides and by the beaches. I'm sad to hear about all the flooding. We have water in the basement again but thankfully it's not too much.
Ralph and I went out today and I brought my camera along with me. One observation that I made is that while it's raining and cold, the spring flowers, bushes, bulbs and tree's are thriving. I'm seeing so many beautiful flowers. It's a shame that it doesn't stay dry enough to really enjoy them although I think that as soon as it gets warm out, the flowers will droop, and fall off because of the temperature changes.
We drove to this park in Port Credit called which was full of blooming Rhododendron's. I have never seen so many beautiful bushes. It was amazing. Sadly it was raining so I couldn't stay long. Ralph stayed in the truck while I walked around the park taking photographs. I'd love to go back when the weather is nicer.
Here are a few pictures that I took.
By the time I was finished, I was so cold. I can't believe it's May. We went looking for a place to get a coffee to warm up which which was right by the marina. While Ralph was getting the coffee, I walked down to the water to have a look. There were several swans swimming nearby which were very curious. They came right up to me.
When we got home I decided to walk around in my garden. It's a shame that we haven't been able to enjoy the bulbs flowering and so even though it was still drizzling, I took my camera with me and took a few pictures to remind me of what the flowers looked like.
