It's the beginning of another beautiful week. On Monday the weather forecast was for rain for almost all day. No golf planned because of that. The day ended up being amazing. So, off we went to enjoy the Osprey and Eagles for awhile. The Eagles weren't that active and the babies stayed mostly low in the nest. That's ok, we still enjoyed the Osprey.
Later in the afternoon we were sitting on our balcony when we got the "dolphin alert" from Teresa. First a single one went by and then a group of them. It was so exciting to see especially for Ralph and I as we had only seen them once since we've been here.
It is mating season for the Osprey and they are really active. We've had a lot of fun watching them over the past two weeks.
The Eaglets are getting so big and active. By the end of this week (March 16), we believe that one has fledged and left the nest. We have spent most of our free time watching them hoping to see the big event but it's not in our timing. There has been lots of wing flapping but the final takeoff has taken place (for the first one at least) when we weren't around.
lt has been fun for the last two weeks. We have golfed at Willbrook Plantation and Wild Wing. Jim joined us for these two rounds while Deb enjoyed the sunshine. We enjoyed a nice dinner with everyone at Gulf Stream Cafe. We hoped to enjoy a nice sunset but sadly it got pretty cloudy. Oh well, we'll have to have another dinner one time to enjoy the sunset.

We had a short thunderstorm during the week. It didn't last long but I was able to capture one of the strikes. I had left my tripod in the truck so this was taken by placing my camera on a stack of books on one of the outdoor tables. I sure got lucky.
The second week we golfed at Sea Trail, The Pearl and Tigers Eye with John and Grace. Lawrence and Teresa had Sandra and Sean and family visiting so they spent their time with the kids. We also took a visit to Huntington Beach, but things remain quiet there. The one thing that is really bad right now is the gnats as they are biting like crazy. We're all pretty itchy lol.
I enjoyed a nice walk with Sandra and the kids at the beach. I took a few photos for her to enjoy.
We are starting to observe the bird migration starting. The beach has been filled with thousands of "laughing gulls" twice. They don't stay long (sometimes only a couple of hours). t's pretty interesting to see them all fly in.
It's been a great couple of weeks. We find the time is speeding by now. The weeks have been full with bird watching and golfing and the most beautiful sunrises. We couldn't ask for a better time to spend our days.
