Getting re-acquainted with the Witch golf club

Friday morning started as a "dull" and "overcast" day.  The temperature had also dropped significantly.  We were quite surprised by the change and actually found it a little cool while golfing.  Teresa and I both purchased new sweaters to help keep us warm.

A stork enjoying a meal at the pond

The course was fun to play and brought back memories.  It's actually pretty challenging.  We didn't see any of the "15" alligators that they have on the course but we did see a Water Moccasin and made sure to keep our distance.

There were many Cyprus knee's in the swampy areas around the course.  This place is a folk artist's dream area.

Overall we had a wonderful 'last round" in Myrtle Beach.  This course brought back fond memories and I'm glad that we came back and enjoyed another round here.

Indian Wells Golf - water everywhere

Today we played Indian Wells Golf Course.  This is the first time we have played here and I really enjoyed the course.  It sure was challenging with plenty of water on it (14 holes all have water).  It's a narrow course that is very interesting and challenging.  Sadly this property has been sold for development and will be closing in December.  That's too bad as I would have liked to play here again.

They had beautiful gardens on the course with many flowers in bloom.

Today was another hot day with the temperature reaching 36 Celsius.  It didn't feel that hot though as I found that the humidity wasn't quite as bad as it was yesterday.  The squirrels still found it pretty hot though as we observed this little guy just lazing around, too tired to be chasing the other squirrels.

There were plenty of birds on the course and Teresa and I saw an Eagle and a Hawk as well.  That was pretty cool!!

We came back to the condo later in the afternoon and enjoyed some time relaxing.  I've started a new book and it was nice to read with the breezes from the ocean blowing.  Every once in a while I stopped to photograph the Osprey.  This time the bird was soaring on the air currents right in front of our room.  That was so cool.  We finished our day with a treat from Ben and Jerry's.  What a treat!!

Legends - Moorland - toughest course ever!

Today we played at the Legends - Moorland Course.  I have never played such a difficult course.  it didn't help that the temperature reached 34c and it was crazy humid.  The holes were very challenging and if you didn't land it solid on the green the ball kept going and went down into a valley very far below the green.  Sometimes it took me an additional 2 shots to get back onto the green.  The course was very busy as well.  This is one of those places that offer breakfast, lunch and drinks as part of your golf package.  Its a favourite of the locals.  Lunch was enjoyable, we were advised to order off the menu rather than going to the buffet.  It was a good recommendation.

At one of the holes these turtles climbed up the bank towards us.  We're sure that they were looking for food.

Keeping out the sun!!  The best place to stay cool was in the golf cart.

This evening we went to the Wicked Tuna which is our favourite restaurant in Murrells Inlet. They didn't disappoint.  The catch of the day was grouper and it was amazing.  Ours dinners melted in our mouths.  It was the perfect way to end the day.
