Monday at Andersons Creek - Golf Course

What a wonderful day.  We were up early for breakfast and then headed to the golf course.  Today we played at a golf course that was 5 minutes away.  Anderson Creek is the course that owns the villa  that we are staying in.  It is a beautiful course.  These few pictures don't do it justice, but we certainly enjoyed the golf.  We played 35 holes today (got rained out for the last hole).  It was so much fun. Dinner was a real treat as well. Teresa cooked Nassi and we enjoyed a nice salad with it.

A day to relax

We were up bright and early to get ready to go to church in Charlottetown.  It was an enjoyable sermon.  The people here are very friendly and we met many of them during the coffee social.  I am always amazed at how small the world is.  Sitting in church, we met someone who had been a teacher for one year at Timothy and another woman who use to date someone from our church.  God never siezes to amaze me.

We enjoyed a nice stroll along the beach enjoying the sand dunes.  After our walk we took a scenic drive along the coast.  It really is beautiful here and very peaceful.  Today we are all looking forward to a fun round of the golf.  The course is almost in our backyard so we don't have far to travel.

Arja and Tony arrive

The last of our group arrived safely last night.  We're all set for a fun week!

Mill River Golf Course

It's Saturday and we have our first round of golf planned. I was up early - 6:00 a.m.  Too excited to sleep I guess.  Today we start our first round of golf at Mill River Golf Course.  This is where they played "Big Break".  We left our Villa at 7:45 and we arrived at 9:00 at the course.  Our first impressions were "wow" this looks like a great course.  We went to the driving range to warm up before our round.  We tried to get off earlier, but they were booked solid. It ended up being a slow round taking almost 5 hours.  Oh well - we enjoyed the weather which was nice and sunny. Back at the Villa - John and Grace had arrived and they had a major rain storm which knocked the chairs off our deck. They were able to play a round at Andersons (which we are playing on Monday).  We went to Charlottetown for dinner and ate at Peaks Quay - which was recommended by Arja. It was a great choice.  We then drove to the airport and picked up Tony and Arja at 11:00 p.m. They had a good flight.  Its the beginning of what will be an amazing week.

Browsing

Last night on our way home from dinner, we stopped and played tourists.  Lawrence saw this as a perfect opportunity for a family photo!

Our Villa

We have a nice villa where we are staying.  We are located in Stanely Bridge, PEI.  There are 4 units together attached as one large dwelling.  John and Grace, Tony and Arja will be our neighbours.  We look over a valley and have a beautiful view.  You can enjoy breakfast outside on the patio as well. It's quite nice.

The journey continues

We were up early this morning and found ourselves on the road very quickly.  The drive was good, with very little traffic.  It rained for most of the day which I hope means that we won't get rain while we're golfing.  We arrived in PEI at our villa around 5:30.  It's a nice place to stay.  We went out for dinner in Cavenish at a place called "The Pearl".  It was in a house and served some really different and delicious dishes.  We really enjoyed our dinner. It is a nice day to start our vacation.  Tomorrow we plan to golf at Mill River Golf course which is where the Big Break - PEI was hosted. We're looking forward to that adventure.

Finally relaxing at The Pearl Restaurant

My first local drink - a Ceasar with a pickled Mussel in it - it was so delicious
Cheers everyone
