Last day - TPC Scottsdale

Well today is our last day.  I was awake bright and early and went for a walk to explore the grounds. It's quite nice here.  We enjoyed a nice breakfast at Rico's and then left for our golf at TPC Scottsdale. We were there quite early so we were able to warm up at the driving range  before heading out.

The round was fun, maybe a little slower than we would like to play, but still we enjoyed ourselves.
The course was very scenic. We all played quite well. It got progressively colder as the day wore on.  By the end of the round we were all feeling the cold.  The weather man had forecasted unseasonably colder weather and we certainly felt it today.

We enjoyed a nice dinner at Maggianio's.  The wait was long, but worth it.

Congratulations Ralph - winner - 4th day in a row.

Prickly pear.

Yikes - glad it wasn't my ball!

Love this background.

What a wonderful way to end our vacation.

Grey Hawk

Well today is the day that we leave our timeshare.  We packed up last night and were up at 5:30 this morning.  Packing went well.  We left around 6:30 and enjoyed a nice breakfast at the golf course.

Grey Hawk is a beautiful course.  The scenery is breath taking.  All 5 courses we played this week were amazing. We would play them all again in a heartbeat.  This course had the mountains set in the background. It was fun taking pictures.

After golf we made our way to our new hotel - Pointe Hilton at Squaw Peak. We made a side trip along the way to see how the sand sculpture that we had seen earlier this week was progressing.  It was finished this morning and Santa Claus is already sitting in his chair.  (they didn't want us to photo him though).

From there, we arrivede at our hotel. It's a nicely laid out complex. We're near the pool and they have a nice patio that you can sit at and enjoy an afternoon cocktail.  We had a relaxing couple of hours here before going out for dinner.  We enjoyed a nice meal at Thirteenorth.  We will most likely be up early again tomorrow although our round of golf isn't till noon.  Tomorrow we're playing at TPC Scottsdale. It looks amazing.

Rancho Manana

Today we golfed at Rancho Manana.  It was a shorter course than the others that we have played, but we still enjoyed it.  The morning started off cooler,  but it warmed up nicely through the day.

We all played fairly well.  Probably the best game so far this week. I guess this has something to do with the fact that the course was shorter.  This afternoon we visited TPC Scottsdale to check this course out. We're playing here on Saturday before we pack up for good and head for home.  It looks like a nice course as well.

We enjoyed a nice dinner together at The Yard House and now will spend some time packing to get ready to head for home.

We-Ko-Pa

It started as a beautiful morning.  The sun was shining and there wasn't a cloud in the sky.  We were so looking forward to a fun round of golf at We-Ko-Pa golf resort.  We were playing the Cholla (pernounced Choia) course.  You are playing right through the desert. What a gorgeous course.

We saw another Roadrunner - this one was quite curious and stayed near us as we were teeing off.  It was fun to watch Ralph and Lawrence trying to get  a picture.

After golf we drove to lake Saugaro where we enjoyed a ride on the Desert Belle.  We saw Big Horn sheep and Eagles while touring the lake.  What a relaxing way to spend the afternoon.
Look at how large the cactus was!

This was the refreshment cart.

If you look closely - you will see the Road runner in the bushes..

Long horned sheep.

Can you see the Eagle?

This geyser is in Fountain Hill - it shoots 350 feet into the air and on special occasions goes up to 500 feet.

A beautiful sunset looking over the valley.
