Date night

It's been a long while since we did something spontaneous. The day started like any other day with the exception that I was working downtown. Ralph sent me an email telling me that Milestones was hosting and date night and did I want to go. Sure - that sounded like fun. We got late leaving work and didn't get to the restaurant until 5:30. Unfortunately, half of Toronto had the same idea and the wait was 2.5 hours. We couldn't wait that long... Ralph had counting at 7:00 and things just wouldn't work. So we went home and ate a snack and decided we would go after counting was finished. Ralph was home by 8:00 and out we went. The wait was short - maybe 15 minutes, which was enough time for us to sit by the bar and enjoy a relaxing glass of wine and beer. We had a wonderful dinner together. It was nice to take the time and just catch up. It seems that our lives are so busy these days that we really needed this time to get away. It was fun.

Welcome home Liz

It was really nice to see Liz for an evening. Liz came home for a visit a week ago and we were able to spend some time with her. How nice to be able to stay in touch.

What a blessing to look forward to another wedding in the family!! God bless Andrew and Emily as they announced their engagement. We pray that the Lord richly blesses you and your plans over the next couple of months!!

Family shots

It has to be said, that the hardest pictures to take are "family" or "group" photo's; especially when there are young children involved. We all love to have a group shot taken and treasure these pictures for years. These are the photo's that we like to post on our blog's and share with out friends. Today was no exception. You can't plan on when the best time to take pictures is. Someone will be tired, or want to pull silly faces, eyes will blink and heads will turn. That's just the way it is and we love our pictures no matter how they turn out. Here are a few of my favourites...

Hot tub fun!

On Saturday, Jay, Laura and the girls took a hot tub. A perfect time for some pictures!! Jordan is getting much better in the water and not demonstrating as much fear. Hailey is like a little fish and loves it in the water. You really have to watch her closely.

Girls Breakfast and shopping

This weekend was our planned girls breakfast and shopping day. The breakfast was organized by Debbie and we all met at Cora's in Newmarket. What alot of fun we had. It was nice to get together with everyone and "catch up" over a yummy breakfast.

Afterwards many of us went shopping at Upper Canada Mall in NewMarket. It was a fun day!

Happy birthdhay to me!

Well today is my birthday and I find it hard to believe that I have turned 51 years old. Where has the time gone?

I look back on my life and realize that I have been blessed very richly. I have a husband who loves me, a daughter whom I am very proud of and a wonderful son in law. Laura and Jay have been blessed with 2 beautiful daughters. What more could you ask for!

I wish everyone a special day today. It's not only for birthdays, but for every days.
