A Grandover kind of day

We woke up to a chilly morning. Our final day of golf was being played at the Grandover Resort. The temperature was chilly reaching only a high of 16c.

It’s a pretty golf course and it felt like we had the course all to ourselves. We tee’d off at 8:36 and finished around 12:30. We all enjoyed ourselves and wondered if this might be the last round of the season.  We enjoyed a glass of wine and beer before pointing the truck north to our next stop which is in Grove City, PA.   The GPS indicated that it would take about 7.25 hours. Traffic wasn’t that bad but we did have rain for most of the drive. We were thankful that it stayed dry while golfing.  We stopped for dinner on the drive north and arrived close to 11:00 pm. It was a full day.

Congratulations to Teresa for winning the "On the Green in Regulation" challenge. Teresa and Ralph were tied with 3 points each. Teresa also had a tie breaker in her arsenal with a "chip in" from off the green. It was a close challenge with everyone collecting points. Way to go Teresa.

In the ProShop they were selling these "Bow ties" made by a local artist.  They are made with birds feathers.  They were very striking and so beautiful!

Farewell Myrtle Beach

Today was pack up day. I was up early in the hopes of enjoying one final sunrise.Teresa joined me on the balcony as we enjoyed a morning coffee waiting for the sun to come up. Sadly the sky became more and more overcast with no beautiful morning colours bathing the sky. Oh well, it was still nice to sit and listen to the music of the ocean. It was very relaxing.

We went to the Sea Captains for our final breakfast and to bid our friend Michelle farewell with wishes and promises to pray that all goes well with her cancer treatment. While enjoying breakfast the skies opened up for the first time since being here with a big downpour of much needed rain. It was time to leave. The guys had the truck packed by 9:30 and we were able to head north with plenty of time to reach our destination in Kernersville, NC.   We have a round of golf booked here for tomorrow.  We arrived around 1:30 and enjoyed lunch in our room. Afterwards we went exploring and a bit of shopping before having dinner at Twin Peaks. It was another beautiful day with the temperature reaching about 26c.

Blessings on the Lords Day

It's hard to believe that it's Sunday already.  I was up early, in time to enjoy the sunrise before getting ready to go to church.  It was a beautiful morning and I loved the colours of the sky that our Lord gave us today.

Today we celebrated Lord's Supper and enjoyed a very good sermon from 1Peter. 4  We had packed a lunch this morning and went directly after church to Huntington Beach.  We thought it would be nice to have a picnic lunch and enjoy the birds.  Every time we go here, there are different birds.  It was a fun afternoon with rain threatening for a couple of hours but nothing really happened. We sure were happy about that.

Don't mind me, I'm having a bad hair day.

You talking to me??

Hah hah hah and then she said.....

Rain is on it's way
We enjoyed the Osprey's today and the Storks.  I could spend every day out at Huntington beach watching the birds.  It is so relaxing.

Theres one in every crowd

Living in harmony

We also took a walk to the other pond to see if we could find some Alligators.  We found a few, but got many mosquito bites as a result.  I also got a few "fire ant" bites along the way.  Isn't nature grand!!
