A surprise visit

I got a text at around 1:10 from Ralph this afternoon... Where are you was his message? I was just about to head home and what a surprise I received to find Laura and the girls had come for a visit for my birthday. It was a little bit early - but what a nice surprise. We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon. Thank you Laura for the beautiful time we spent together.

Birthday Celebrations

How nice, a birthday celebration at work.

We were all gathered together in the kitchen where a beautiful cake was provided. Everyone sang happy birthday to a group of us celebrating our special day! What a nice surprise.

Daffodils in March

We have been enjoying the beautiful weather this month. Today my daffodils started to open. It was getting dark when I got home but I was able to take a few pictures.

Feeling hot hot hot

Can you believe it! It's March 19 and the weather reached 27C today. We had a dinner for a collegue who was visiting from Quebec and we ate out on the patio. It was so nice outside. We certainly have been spoiled.

2 days later

I am always amazed at how quickly the flowers grow as I look out over my garden. It's two days since I noticed that the crocus's were starting to bloom and now look at them. How beautiful! It a nice day, but a little cooler than originally forecasted, but still we can't complain. I love this time of year!

First signs of spring

We've been seeing Robins for the last three weeks. Spring is certainly in the air. This morning I took a walk around the back yard. Much to my surprise, I have chives already starting and crocus's also starting to bloom. I am amazed at how fast things are progressing. I love this time of year.

Toronto Golf Show

The season opener is fast upon us and we were all excited to see what was happening in the Golfing Community. We were up early and had a nice breakfast all together at Cora's and then went to line up for our tickets. We were #'s 80 through to 88 which gave us a good chance at getting a free round of golf at one of the better golf courses. We are able to golf on Monday April 23 at Black Diamond in Pontypool. We've played here before and it's a great course! A good way to start the 2012 season.

We have our whole season planned and got some great deals on different golf courses. It's going to be a great year! We have rounds for Angus Glen, Redcrest, Woodington Lakes, Caledon, Innisbrook and Pines of Georgina. I hope we have a sunny and warm summer.
