Golfing in Florida

We had another round of golf yesterday at Metrowest. It wasn't my best game (104), but Ralph played an awesome game (89). The golfing here is different than in Myrtle Beach. We like both but think Myrtle Beach is more challenging... (to answer your question Teresa).
We've arrived in Venice and spent the day on the beach. We went to the beach at Lido key and watched the sunset before dinner. It was a beautiful evening.

Our weekend

Today we celebrated Lord's supper at St. Andrew's Chapel. We had a very nice message from Pastor RC Sproul as well. It was a nice weekend. We ended up going to Sea World, doing some shopping and basically relaxing at the house. Tomorrow Ralph has to do some work in the morning and we're planning on doing a round of golf in the afternoon. The weather is really nice so it should be a perfect day once again...

What a fun day!

Today was great! It started with a relaxing morning spent together and then we drove to Harmony for another round of golf. We were paired up with Jim and Joe. Joe was a local and Jim his friend had just flown down with his family from Rhode Island.
What a game! The sun was shining and we were surrounded by nature. There were so many highlights of this game for me. To name a few...
1. I broke 100 and scored a 99 - even with a terrible 18th hole where I scored an 8 :-(
2. I sunk a 30 foot putt
3. We saw an (at least) 8 foot alligator
4. I had a drive on a dog legged hole that shaved about 50-60 yards off the distance on the hole because I cut over the bunkers (I took a risk and it paid off)
5. The weather was beautiful and we all had fun together
We went for dinner at a restaurant called Bahama breeze. We ate Blue Crab claws... these were the crabs that we saw them catching at Myrtle beach. They were pretty tasty... but small...
It was a great day. Tomorrow we plan to go to the outlet mall in the morning and relax at the house in the afternoon. It's supposed to be sunny and a high of about 77 degree's F. It might be nice to spend some time at the pool.

Harmony Golf Preserve

Today we golfed at the Harmony Golf Preserve. It's located outside of Kissimmee in an area called Harmony. It's in an out of the way place, with lots of wildlife. This golf course is an actual wildlife sactuary and they protect and watch over many different animals. As you can see by the pictures, we saw our first alligator and also an Armadillo. It was so neat to see this.
We met another person (Karl) who joined us at the 11th hole. He had been playing ahead of us for the first 10 holes, but he was playing on his own and asked if he could join us. Karl was from Palm Beach and he told us that he comes up north to the Orlando area to golf because it's cheaper. The rate with cart for this course was $33.00 per person which we thought was a pretty good deal. We plan on returning here again tomorrow as we just loved the course. It was very windy today which made it very challenging to golf. I shot a pretty good game and scored 100 and Ralph came in at 99. You have to be a straight hitter to do well here because the rough is very unforgiving. It's a links style course and it's very well maintained. It was fun.
You will notice also that I have been able to attach some photo's. I thought I would try reducing the pixel size and this seemed to have worked so I'll go back and add some pictures to our previous posts as well.
