Another workday!

Well it's Monday and Ralph has to work. It's only for a couple of hours, but the problem we face is that the internet at our home isn't working. We can use the air card, but it's too slow for the reports and files that he has to run. We drove into Orlando this morning to see if we can find an internet cafe that he can use. We were directed to a Fedex/Kinko location and Ralph spent a couple of hours running his reports.

I walked around, and found a place to get a cup of tea. I think next week I'll have Ralph drop me off at a shopping mall while he does his work :-)

This afternoon was spent quietly, walking around in Orlando. We went to see the movie Marley and me. It was so good. It's sure to become a part of our collection. We thoroughly enjoyed it. On the way home we discovered a Wine Shop that was the size of a grocery store. It was huge. We spent about an hour browsing in it. It had such a variety.

Tomorrow we're scheduled to play golf in the morning. Our tee off is for 9:26 and we're booked again for on Thursday, but since it's New Years Day we thought we would golf in the afternoon. I can't wait to swing the clubs.

We've found a pair of water ski's that will fit Jordan so we're looking forward to a fun summer in 2009.

It was a nice day!

Mystery Swarovski Bag

Teresa noticed that I was carrying a Swarovski bag... Can you believe it, we found an Swarovski outlet with crystal on sale... I can't wait to show you all what we bought...

We've arrived in Kissimmee

We arrived in Kissimmee yesterday. We've got some problems accessing the internet, so my messages may be a bit sporatic.

Yesterday, we went for breakfast in Siesta Key at the Broken Egg. I was a little disappointed with it. They have moved to a different location and I found them very expensive. Oh well, the food was still good. We then went for a nice walk along the beach and watched the Pelicans diving for fish. It was fun to watch!!

We returned to the Ellenton mall before heading for Kissimmee. I had bought a new watch with Dad and I needed another link taken out of it. While we waited for this to be done, we went for a walk through the Outlet. Ralph bought a new suit at the Perry Ellis store for $69.00. Can you believe it!! It's a summer suit, but it's really nice.

We then left for Kissimmee. The house is nice. It's a little far from Orlando, but that's ok. We drove to Orlando for dinner and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Today we were up early and went to St. Andrews Cathedral and enjoyed a wonderful sermon by Pastor RC Sproul. It was very good. It took us 1.5 hours to get there but it was worth the drive. I hope we go there again next Sunday.

Today was relaxing with us walking around. We went to downtown Disney with the intention of finding a place to eat dinner. It was so busy there that we decided to look for something downtown. We ended up eating at The Elephant Bar which was really good. We'd been to one before in California. We'll go back for sure before going home. The food was hot, delicious and very reasonably priced!!

Tomorrow we plan to have a quiet day. Ralph is hoping to clean the truck while I swim at the pool. He also needs to do some work so he wants to find a place that has internet. Tomorrow night we're hoping to go see the movie Marley and me. We're planning on going golfing on Tuesday if we can find a course with availability. It's so busy in Orlando right now. We suspect that many people must have vacation right now.

We're having lots of fun.

Fun in Palmetto

We spent the day shopping the Christmas sales at the Outlet mall in Ellenton. It was fun and successful for everyone. We had lots of fun exploring all the sales with T shirts starting at $4.99 and watches on sale for 70% off. It was worth the wait wasn't it Dad!!
We finished the day with a very nice birthday dinner at the Outback. The food was delicious and we were impressed with the new menu. We finished our day at Dad and Mom's. We had such a wonderful time all together.

Liz leaves early tomorrow (following breakfast) for home and Ralph and I are heading for Kissimmee. We'll take a round trip and stop at the Broken Egg for breakfast before leaving.

Happy Birthday Ralph

Well it's early on Friday morning. Ralph is still sound asleep as I write this! Happy birthday Ralph. It's a special day for you! 50 years old and you've caught up to the rest of us (Anne, Ron and myself).

I pray that God blesses you with good health and a wonderful year full of fun and laughter.

Walking Buster

Couldn't fit the picture in the last post, so I wanted to add a picture of Buster... We went for a nice walk around and park and have all learned the park rules about walking your dog around the parimetre of the park.

A day at Winterset RV Park

We arrived finally at about 10:45 at the Winterset RV Park. Dad, Mom and Liz were at church so it gave us some time to unpack the truck and relax. Ralph took Buster for a walk around the block and then went to hit a few balls at the small golf area in the park. By 11:15, everyone was home from church and we spent a lovely afternoon all together. What a beautiful day it was. The temperature was in the low 80's... Awesome!! We all went for Christmas dinner at the Community centre. We met some of Dad and Mom's friends which was very nice. Dinner was delicious.

We left around 7:00 and are planning an early night. Tomorrow, we're all going shopping at the Outlet mall to see what kind of deals we can find. It was a wonderful day spent together.
